At the weekend I went to a lovely restaurant called La Trouville, 12A Newburgh Street, London W1F7RR just round the corner from Carnaby Street. I decided to get a train from the Jubilee Line into town, but after I had parked my car and walked to the Station I found it was closed, so I ended up getting back into my car and driving to the Northern Line. By the time I got to the restaurant, an hour later than I should have.  I was given two delicious glasses of Chateau de la Mirande 2008 accompanied by wonderful food.  It’s amazing how soon you forget your days aggravations with a couple of glasses of the good stuff, I think I could get used to it.

So I am standing in the kitchen batch baking - are you?? Happiness is the smell of honey cakes slowly rising in the oven.

Yes, it is the count down to Rosh Hash and that means deciding what you are eating, what you are cooking, who is coming and where will they be sitting.  PG if the weather continues - outside - now that would be Princess Perfect!

By the way if you have a minute away from the kitchen, the supermarket and back in the kitchen, nip into Selfridges new SHOE DEPARTMENT - It is shoe heaven - well you might need some new heels for extra New Year happiness

As it was my last night in Spain I decided to sample white Sangria. Well luckily I discovered this delicious drink on my last night as I never knew Sangria could taste so good! Now I have to decide whether to take an umbrella on the plane for when I land in good old Blightey!
