My name is Hillary Fisher. My mom is Amy Hammer (co chair for the Detroit Jewish Book Fair). I came to the demo on Sunday 9I was the one in the big white fluffy vest) and I got your book. I immediately went to the store after and bought all my ingredients to make your cheesecake. Since I am lactose intollerant, I used tofutti cream cheese instead of regular. Instead of eggs, I use soy yogurt. I think it makes things more moist and creamy. I also use soy yogurt for pumpkin breads and banana breads. I just have to say that it was the most delicious dessert ever! I brought in the cheesecake for all the ladies that run the book fair and they loved it!

I have tried out a few of your recipes and they always seem to turn out so well. I was most impressed by your Cholent. The last time I made it for my Polish friend (using another tried and tested recipe) we ended up going out to dinner as it was so bad, I could not serve it. I have tried yours twice and both times it has been perfect!

I got the book as my Chanukah present this year and I love it!
Because we live miles away from any other Jews, its been a real eye opener. My mother says I am the biggest JP she knows - a real compliment I think! Would it be possible for you to design a tee shirt that says "Jewish Princess" on it for your shop? I'd love one!

I was suffering from a midlife crisis as I too approached the big "40'. I was feeling old, frumpy and in need of spicing up my life. A wonderful friend bought me a copy of the cookbook and I fell in love with it!
I love what you have achieved as you turned 40 and you have inspired me to reach for the stars too! I adore the illustrations and little comments dotted through the book, they are so funny! I finally found your book today in Guadalmina having looked for it in Norfolk while I was home at Christmas. This afternooon I spent a very enjoyable time reading it from cover to cover (business is rather quiet Jan/Feb). I was still laughing about your dinner party and the ice cream balls falling into a clients lap while I was walking the dog later on!

I saw this book in Harvey Nicks, after coming out of a delicious meal at Yo Sushi on the 5th floor. My Jewish friend picked it up, flicked through and secretly bought it for me, whilst I was doing a quick food shop! I can honestly say, I have used the recipes every time friends and family come over, even the kids love it. I may even convert! Best of luck, and congratulations on an incredible book!

I think that I was the first person in Marbella to buy your book. After my hair appointment I went directly to Bookworld Espania. They opened the box, sold me one and hopefully placed the rest on the shelves.
May I congratulate you both. The book is delightful. It is entertaining, yet serious and very topical at the moment. I think it an excellent book for anyone trying to create quick, yet healthy and interesting meal. There are numerous people that I know who would benefit from your book.

I must tell you. Today I met a friend for lunch and you will never guess what she bought me for my birthday. "The Jewish Princess Cookbook" and she isn't even Jewish and I hadn't mentioned it to her either. She saw it and thought of me. I am thrilled. It is really very good. It's funny, so true, and the recipes look easy to follow. I am going to try some of them this weekend when my dad comes over for lunch on Saturday. Its soo cool.
At the back of the book is a list of Yiddish words and their English translations which I am going to copy for one of the non-jews that I work with as I am always forgetting myself at work and using these words and then having to explain them to everyone. Your friend is very clever. Tell her I love the book
